In compliance with the City of Tuscaloosa’s Curfew Ordinance and UA ACTivate residential program expectations, all UA ACTivate participants are required to adhere to the following curfew rules.
Curfew Hours – Monday to Wednesday: 8:15 p.m.
All UA ACTivate residential participants must accompany their peer coaches to their assigned residence hall by 8:15 p.m. each evening and must be in their assigned dorm rooms by 10:00 p.m. each evening. Please note that participants are not allowed in the residence hall common areas from 10 p.m. – 7 a.m. Participants are expected to report for breakfast and check in no later than 8 a.m. each morning. Please note that during designated breaks, participants are not allowed to leave the resident hall. Participants are only permitted to leave the resident hall accompanied by a peer coach or UA ACTivate staff member.
At no time will other participants or visitors not registered as UA ACTivate participants or UA ACTivate staff be permitted on the designated residential wings or in the designated UA ACTivate dorm rooms. Accordingly, participants are assigned to specific rooms and are expected to remain in those assigned rooms. Participants are not allowed to change room locations without the expressed consent of the UA ACTivate camp counselor or UA ACTivate program manager.
A participant’s failure to be in their assigned residence hall wing and/or failure to check in with UA ACTivate staff and/or failure to comply with all curfew rules may result in immediate dismissal from the program without a refund of registration fee.
UA ACTivate staff will contact the participant’s parent/guardian to inform them that the student missed curfew or was out of the assigned area and will be expected to pick up the participant in a reasonable timeframe.
Quiet Hours 10 p.m. – 7 a.m.
During quiet hours, participants must be in their assigned rooms and remain on their side of the dorm. Noise levels must be minimized to ensure a conducive environment for all residents.
